Blackgold was founded by a fabrication professional, Abdullah Al Mamun, who built the company from the ground up in Ajman’s Al Jurf Industrial Area, starting with the equipment, the team, and the discipline to do the job correctly before doing it at scale. Having spent years working in the UAE’s steel and aluminium trade and watching quality routinely compromised for margin, he decided to build something fundamentally different.

Under his direct leadership, Blackgold grew from a single workshop bay to a UAE-wide fabrication business covering all seven emirates across nine service categories. That growth was driven entirely by client referrals and repeat business — the most honest form of market validation a service business can receive in the UAE.

He personally oversees material specification on every project. In Fujairah, that means SS 316 marine grade — not SS 304. On Palm Jumeirah, marine-grade powder coatings. In Al Ain’s desert heat, UV-rated profiles and thermal break aluminium. The specification decisions that protect a client’s investment over fifteen years are made in the first quote — not discovered as a problem three years after installation.
